About Anna

Anna is Russian and American, raised in Singapore. She has participated in multiple exhibitions, most notably ‘In An Echo, We Remember’ (2017) and ‘Dwellers’ (2017) in Singapore, and dollhouse (2020) and ‘Not here, not not’ (2022) in New York. Anna received a BFA in Fine Arts at Parsons School of Design and a BA in Global Studies and Writing at Eugene Lang College in New York City. Her research on the complicated Post-Soviet Identity as seen through Brighton Beach’s food culture won the Outstanding Thesis Award in 2023.

Ongoing Projects

A book of drawings and writings documenting an accidental shift from city-life to farm-life.

A translation of her grandfather’s book, Singapore Sketches (1982), from Russian to English.

A cookbook of essays on concrete practices of a sharing economy, on living in alternative communities, on connecting with people around the world through handmade processes like weaving and cooking.
